Hey all, I forgot to post my intro when I got accepted back in to BITS. Anyway, my name is Sydney, I just recently joined again. I used to play BITS, and took break for a while and now I'm back.
I am 19 years old and live in Cali. I have one horse and one dog. My horse is a 9yr old 15.3hh bay tobiano Paint gelding named Frog. He is my basic western horse. I wanted to some day show him in western pleasure, he just doen't like to collect when I neck reining him. He's a great horse stops on a dime. I can get him to slide maybe 2 feet with out back shoes(I don't make him do it often) He's just an all around great horse, He has a great western jog so smooth your butt just sits. He's canter is fast but super smooth anyone can sit it, you hardly have to scoop! He's just a great horse and I love him. He's a big goof he's like a puppy dog. And speaking of puppy dog I also own a 6 month old Chocolate Lab puppy named Scout. He's a great dog kind of wacky and dence but I think that's a puppy lab thing. We adopted him for a shelter not to far from our house when he was about 10-14 months old. He's pretty good around the horses, he wants to chase them If I ty him he's great around them. When the horses are in their stalls he just leaves them be, he will go up and say hi to them but mainly stays around Frog's stall. He loves his big brother, but I don't think Frog feels the same way about his little brother, ha.
I love my animals and know they have a great home with me. I hope one day to add on to my horses. I would love to get a reining filly to show. But, I just don't have the money, times another story, but along with that I need the money as well. I've always wanted to show but have been to poor to get a decent showing horse, and just don't have the money for trailering and show fees. I'd love to learn more about reining, I think once I get a job I'd like to take lesson if I can find one close to my house. I have such an interest or it.
As for BITS, I'm planning an doing Paint and Quarter Horses. Mainly for reining. I may add in a few english horses, and possibly some Arabians. And if racing is big maybe a few TBs to bring in the cash . So that's about it. Any question let me know
