Would I get to tear into her, then?? She had sent out an email about ownership changes, I think. I was really busy, or just didn't give a sh*t, so I waited until the last minute. I sent them in, she emailed me back saying I missed the deadline and that she had changed it, and I FLIPPED after she flat-out refused to let me change them. It was the straw that broke the camel's back; TROT had been going down the tubes for a while, Jilian was just a sh*tty president in general, and I'd finally had enough. After that I joined another game, Riata, but I think I made like, 2 posts there and then FINALLY switched to BITS in August. To be honest, I've only really recently become superactive here, and I'm glad I have.

It won't happen because you-know-who wouldn't be in charge. I left in August and have never been happier. There are people here who CARE about more than just winning and everyone is just...chill.

Yes, that is very true Gwen.
I like how you convientently left her name out, while I just name-dropped lol.

I am used to not dropping names. I feel like I constantly have to sensor myself.

Hey guys, not to be a bitch or anything but let's not diss other clubs. The whole name reclaiming thing was just a big misunderstanding and its happened to all of us. TROT isn't all about winning. It's just people stopped sending out fun updates and the such and the only thing that was being circulated was show results. I think Jilian is a good president. She's just busy, we all get that way. I'm not saying she doesn't need to pawn off some of her jobs to other people instead of doing it all, but she does a lot and always has in that club. It doesn't make ya'll look very good for bashing your old club. If ya'll had put in as much effort as you are in this club, TROT would be fun and exciting as it used to be, which I kind of miss because frankly, I like e-mail clubs better than forum clubs---I feel like I'm missing stuff on forums where as e-mail clubs I get to see all the e-mails because they are sent directly to me. Anywho, this isnt to piss anyone off, since I am new. But most of ya'll already know me, and I love you guys and so like the title of this post is called "here i am!" because some of you guys I just enough interacting with!!

I was in TROT for sooo long, Allie, and I missed those fun days, too. I tried, quite hard actually, to help TROT get back on its feet and become what it once was. I'm not bashing TROT, it's just still a slightly open wound ... we lost a lot of good, solid members those days because of what was going on. Jilian pulled a lot of over-dramatics on us, threatening to quit every other day, and we all then had to convince her to not quit. I got sick of it, like a lot of other people did. She was the only one who put the pressure on herself, others tried to help her out but no, it all had to be for her. Quite frankly, she put the stress on herself and I don't feel sorry for her at all.
It's a complete shame TROT is going under, especially after its long and happy history. If things were to change, hell yeah I'd join again and go through with it all. But, it doesn't seem to be, so here I am.
You'll come to enjoy forum games. It took me an entire summer and almost all of this fall to get used to it, and like I said earlier I've only really recently become superactive here (I almost got deleted!). Takes a bit, but you'll get the hang of it.

Yeah. And no offense, but I still don't like a lot of things that happened. And I *did* run the most active registry there for quite a bit. I just didn't like the way people treated eachother. I left on a good note, so I won't say anymore. And no. Let's not diss. It's just the way a lot of us feel. And yeah, I do miss how that was. However, the boards are nice because people can not conveniently lose posts or just not get them at all :-P Like in other games (and not just that one) that I have been in. You will come to like it. I was really unsure of it for a long time

Also, I don't think it was necessarily that people didn't put in effort. I know I did. Numerous times, I did. However, it was the way people began to treat me that I didn't really appreciate. I was thinking about this in my math lecture today. That's why dissing people doesn't work, guys. Because if we diss, then we are just as bad, right? That's what happened in the other SIM's we have been in. So don't look at SIM's as being bad. Think of them as not being the right place for you and look to them to see the things that you don't want to have happen here. So, no more dissing... only constructive criticisms!

I know ya'll put forth the effort, trust me haha. If I didn't think you weren't putting any effort into it, I wouldnt have joined BITS to be with ya'll. Kind of sad that I've never met ya'll yet I still think of ya'll as close friends, pathetic I know.

I feel the same way lol Most of my friends that I've met through TROT [or LJ lol] I'd feel way more comfortable talking to about RL problems and stuff than any of my RL friends [the few I have...lol.]... And yeah, no dissing I still play TROT, and it's too big a part of my childhood [as strange as that sounds... ] for me to let go yet, even though I'm almost 20, and it's slowed down a lot. I'm hanging on to hope that it will turn around. Blah. I really miss how interactive and community-ish it used to be... I feel like now, I have no real relationships with any of the other members [partly because most of my old friends left, and partly because barely anyone sends out real, in-depth updates anymore]. =( I think I'm going to either edit this thread, or delete it in a bit. As much as some of us have legitimate reasons to be angry, I don't think it's fair to be spreading people's and game's names around in a bad context and talking behind their backs. =)

I'm the same way. I'd almost rather tell you guys (or you guyses as my family from Pennsylvania would say!) about my RL and problems and such... No one cares what I look like, how popular I am, what kind of grades I get, whether or not I cleaned my room, whether or not I just maxed out Mommy's credit card at Abercrombie & Fitch - and best of all, you are crazy horse people. Therefore, you understand my crazy-horse-person-ness. =) (And I don't hear "ewww, horses smell...")
Dissing isn't good. Enough said.
I reeeeeally have to go now... I spent way too much time on this and I have to go find out what time I'm going to see the Marie Antoinette movie tomorrow. Mmm...

It was pretty good. One of the better historical-oriented movies I've seen. The ending was a bit lacklustre, but there were some *very* good scenes to make up for it as well. I'd definitely recommend it. It's got an atmosphere to it, like you are at Versailles, experiencing the elegance and extreme extravangance of eighteenth century France. If you don't know the story of Marie Antoinette, I'd recommend finding out a little first before seeing it, because I can see where some things would be a bit unclear if you didn't know about the history. I absolutely *loved* the gowns, too. It's almost worth it just for that. =P
But yeah, if you're thinking about seeing it, I'd go. =)
