Welcome, welcome! I'm Rainbow, one of the admins here in the game. =) I own Wildwind Equestrian Centre, focusing on Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, and Dales Ponies for dressage, showjumping, and hunters. In real life, I'm a dressage rider, and although I don't own a horse, I'm lucky enough to half-lease a 17 year old Appendix QH gelding named Murray - he's my dear pony (even though he's 16hh lol). And I'm incredibly envious of your living in the UK... one of my greatest dreams is to live in or just outside of London, though anywhere in the UK would be spectacular. But for the moment, I'm stuck in the flat cornfields of the midwestern United States. Again, welcome to the game!

Welcome, Indy! M y name is Gwen and I am another admin. I own Show Me Halter and Performance horses in SL and in RL, I show paints. I am a college student at IU and also live in the midwest Eventing is a HUGE thing in BITS, so you will be in good company. I also would love to live in the UK. LOL. I envy your split executive branch and majoritarian democracy (not that I don't love the US, but it is cool). I am a Political Science major, BTW, which is why I am such a political geek :-P

Double Post. Ek!
I thought I'd post a few more piccies
This is me and Emmi, last year at the Shetland Performance Show. (where the Olympia Qualifier was held)
This is me and Emmi last year (I think) jumping at home
And this is my old pony, Maisie and me She was very badly treated at her old home - was pulled over with ropes round her legs and had her wold teeth taken out without any pain killers. Sadly Maisie died October 6th last year She jumped out of the field (we think) and landed, probably, on her head. She got brain damage. When the vet came out for the upteenth time that day, she was blind She really was a fantastic pony In this picture we're jumping 4ft She was only 14hh. Love you Maisie xxxxx

Sounds like Maisie was a great little mare and I am sorry to hear that about her *tear* sometimes the worst things happen to the best of us - shame it happens but thats life I guess.
Emmi is sooo precious!! I have always thought Shetland Ponies were cute. . .but still something about Miniature Horses and their 'Arabian' type body is still more elegant to me but Emmi I must say is the cutest Shetland Pony I have *ever* seen!!! ;D

yeh, she was
haha. Emmi is ah-mazing. No joke! lol She is super fast - beating a 14hh Heinz bred pony in a gallop along a field! Also at the Shetland Performance show, everyone got a chance to ride their shetlands, sorry I mean race their shetlands lol - against the real shetland grand national 'racers' - and me and emmi beat them all!!! ;D mwahahhahahaha. She can fly over jumps - she's jumped 3'3ft although her belly knocked the pole down lol and out hunting she's taken me over fences she's a beast. and then she can be so gentle and calm and win a first ridden class. haha.
EDIT;
I can't spell

Sounds like she's terrific!! How tall are you Indy? I'm just curious because you look so small to be able to ride Emmi LOL I'm 5'5 and somehow I think that I just wouldn't fit hehehe so you HAVE to be smaller than me LOL

*Smiles* that'd be awesome lol just to see how fast she really goes. Around here there are Thoroughbred, Arabian, and Quarter Horse flat races and during the summer I work for a barn called Fast Lane Stables and I get to breeze out their Quarter Horse racers and it's so much fun!!!

It's really cool to breeze them out after their training workouts - against most people's thoughts about racehorses having to be high strung and can't be handled by children - that's just not true at their stables. They handle their foals from the day they are born and they use Clinton Andersons approach to handling foals, weanlings, yearlings, round penning, lunging, and respect methods. All their horses all know how to walk, trot, canter, and gallop on command under saddle so that way after they are retired, they can immediately go to a new loving home where they can have a new job. All their race horses also go on trail rides to make them essentially 'bomb proof'. It's really neat how they can make a racehorse the best mannered horse possible.

lol, Tybee, 'breezing' means gallop... you wouldn't be breezing them out after they work out. You'd be cooling them out after they breeze.

Maya, I know what I am saying - the trainer sends them to the underwater treadmill that they have in the barn and that is what they consider their workout and then I go out and breeze the quarter horses out around the track for a quarter mile and then they send the horse that I rode to a man named Michael Hembree and he cools out the horse and puts him back in his stall. The horse rests the rest of the day and then Annabell Dutton continues their training in the evening.
Sorry if I sounded mean at first, but I do know what I am talking about ;D I've been doing it the past 4 years LOL

Atleast that's how it goes for the QH's they train - I don't deal with the TB's or Arabs at the barn as my love is the QHs ;D
EDITED TO SAY: Annabell always says that the underwater treadmill is better than actually breezing them out the full track - she says it gives them more stamina and is better for their joints and helps build better muscle tone so heh I just do what they say!! ;D

Sorry, it's just one of my hugest pet peeves when people misrepresent things... and since you've done it before on various occasions, I assumed you'd done it again.

It's fine, I know I have made a few mistakes but I don't think that I have made enough for people to assume that I am automatically wrong. But whatever I guess, its fine.

See, if you'd clarified that your definition of 'work out' was different from the universally accepted norm, people wouldn't have to assume. This is just silly, you don't need to digress to immaturity when someone points out a mistake.
