Well, I'm new so I figured I should introduce myself. My name is Teresa, I'm 20 years old. I am SO thrilled to have found this SIM, off and on I've searched for a realistic one, and they're almost impossible to find anymore!
I've loved horses since I was about 9. Got involved with my local 4-H Horse and Pony Club when I was 11. I participated on the Horse Judging Team, Horse Bowl Team, and Hippology Team. I leased horses for 3 years and showed before I was given my mare, she was a HUGE blessing to me. I got her when she was a long yearling, trained her myself, and she was really good for me as I finished my 10 years of 4-H. I unfortunately have come upon a time when it was best to hand her over to someone else. A few months ago I gave her to a 13 year old member of my former 4-H group who was horseless. I've been able to stay very active with her, and am kind of her "trainer", which is a great arrangement for both of us!
Outside of horses, I got married May 30, 2007 to my high school sweetheart. Although not technically a horse person he has always been extremely supportive of my horse passion, and has developed a certain amount of an interest since he met me. I'm also 35 weeks pregnant, I'm due March 13. Having a little boy, his name will be Philip (Meaning "Lover of Horses") Kael (Meaning "Mighty Warrior"). Looking forward to his arrival =)
I look forward to getting to know everyone else here, and to playing the game!

Hey Teresa and welcome to BITS! I'm so glad to see another member here! BITS really is the most realistic game out there, and we have such a tight knit little "family" that I hope you can be involved in =) We'll definitely need to see pics of the new baby! What do you plan on focusing on in BITS? I own Lorey Lane Farms, and specialize in Arabs and TB racers. I also own the Arab Association and the BITS Horse Rescue (which has a TON of horses!) In RL I own a little Quarter Pony named Peanut and I ride Arab horses for my trainer Bobby who's done everything in the horse world, lol. Can't wait for you to get playing and welcome again!

Thanks for the welcome Nicole! I will definitely post picture of Philip once he's born, and soon as I get a chance I'll get some of his ultrasound pics up =) I will most likely focus on either Quarter Horses or Paints in a Western discipline, haven't completely made up my mind quite yet =)

Hey Teresa. I'm Jen I am glad to have another stock breed fan in the house! I own Diamond Elite Farms and the future Elite Racing. I also run the BITS Snaffle Bit Association and ShowStoppin Equine Supply. I focus on stockbreeds (mostly apps and quarters with some paints) and am continuing to grow my racing string. There are many popular disciplines here (unlike most SIMS) so there is really something for everyone. In RL I have been an appaloosa owner for every horse I've had. I have a now 4 y/o app gelding named Jorge who I bought last January when the vet told me I would not be able to ride or show my app mare. He has come a long way since last year and we are hitting the show ring pretty heavy this year. We had to put my mare down in August so I am really glad this guy came into my life. I am so excited to get to know you and your horses and your future baby!

Hey Teresa! I'm Rainbow, one of the admins here. Welcome! In the game, I own Wildwind Equestrian Centre and the Hunter/Jumper Association. I focus mostly on dressage, hunters, and showjumping. In real life, I half-lease a Thoroughbred named Xavier, and we do dressage with a little bit (and I mean a very little bit) of hunters on the side. Anyways, I'm very excited to get to know you and your horses (and the future Philip Kael, which I think is a really cool name -- how'd you find Kael as a middle name?). Hopefully you really enjoy it here.

Yay pony clubber! I was actually in KY this past summer for the USPC Festival... For the International Quiz Championships. Team Canada kicked some serious butt down there, haha Welcome to BITS! (I swear I'm normally more coherent. Functioning on an hour of sleep and nothing but ridiculous amounts of coffee today make me a bit brain fail )

Hey, Teresa! Welcome to BITS! My name is Gwen and I am the final admin on the board. In RL, I have 3 paints - a brand new baby Olivia, a 17 year old solid palomino mare, and a 2 year old sorrel tobiano gelding. I am a student at Indiana University Bloomington studying Political Science and gender studies. In the game I own the BITS Stock Breed Association and Show Me Halter in Performance Horses, which specializes in paints and colored sport horses.
I am very excited you have picked stock breeds! You won't regret it! It's a whole lotta fun :-D Definitely look into the BSBA and BSBR shows.
Congrats with the baby. You must be just dying in anticipation for his arrival!
Edit, it says you're in Indiana?!
There are two hoosiers on here I think besides me - Nicole and Evanthe. Evanthe and I are from up by Chicago. Where are you located if you don't mind sayin?

Haha! Kokomo. When we used to take 31 down, we would go through there all the time. Last time I was there was when I was carpooling home and we had to stop at the Target because my friend went to plug in her iPod dock and burnt herself on the cigarette lighter on accident. It was a lifesaver. The burn cream was the only thing that got her through.
Small world.
