[glow=navy,2,700]Horizon Equestrian Center[/glow][glow=teal,2,700]Grand Opening Horse Trials[/glow]
Horizon Equestrian Center of Camelot Enterprises November 25-26, 2006 Entries due November 22 Expect some fabulous prizes in celebration of the grand opening of Horizon Equestrian Center! *Note that this show is run like a United States Eventing Association recognized horse trials. The structure of the competition is the same as a Canadian horse trials (all scoring, phases, dress, etc. is the same, there may be some small deviations among the two rulebooks, but nothing major and it won't affect the BITS shows), however two of the divisions have different names. I have included the name of the Canadian equivalent in parenthesees to make it easier to figure out the level your horses should enter. The USEA does not have a level equivalent to Pre-Entry, but I'm including it in the horse trials I organize for consistancy. If you would like to copy and paste your entries from the Canadian horse trials, I will accept entries with the Canadian division names (the division numbers are the same). Rules> Each horse may only enter one division. > Horses must be a minimum of four years old to compete over fences. > All United States Eventing Association rules are in effect. > Entries sent without a check or in an inorrect format will be considered void. > All horses not boarded at Camelot Enterprises are required to pay stabling fees and must be stabled at Horizon Equestrian Center. > All horses must be registered with the BITS Main Horse Registry. > No e-mail entries will be accepted. > Respect the Horizon Equestrian Center grounds. Any littering or other misconduct will not be tolerated. Hey Maya... did you know there's a famous horse in RL named Kilkenny? Not sure if that's against BITS rules or not, just thought I'd bring it to your attention He's just been inducted into the USEA Hall of Fame, acctually! Here's what my favorite magazine, Practical Horseman, has to say about him: "Dorothea Wofford's durable Kilkenny, [is] one of just six event horses to have competed in five or more international team competitions. Rider Jim Wofford guided him to two team silver medals at the 1968 and 1972 Olympic Games and an individual bronze medal at the 1970 world championships."

lol I had no idea! I named him after my favourite beer It's against the rules if the sim horse is a 'copy' of the real life horse... like if the rl Kilkenny was a 2000 gray Rhineland-Pfalz-Saar stallion, it would be against the rules. lol.

lol. Considering the RL Kilkenny has aparently competed at the CCI**** level, I seriously doubt he's four years old, so I think you're safe haha

And if he was competing in the 60s and 70s, I doubt he'd be alive today!

Ahaha... Did any of you see that Imax movie called 'the horse' or 'horses' or something along those lines? There was a 2 year old that the owner wanted to event, so she took it Prelim in it's first time out... Then it refused at the water, and she fell off, so she got so mad she sold the horse to a random trick trainer guy... and it ended up dragging him out of a burning building later on. ...Wow that was random.

It was one of those movies that the people who made it obviously knew absolutely nothing about horses whatsoever... there was also a random racehorse that got free and somehow ended up living wild in the mountains of british columbia with perfectly shod feet and looking fat and shiny lol. There were a few others, too, but I saw it so long ago I can't remember. Oh! There was a racehorse filly who broke her leg in training, but then recovered so amazingly she went on to win the kentucky derby! lol. It was hilarious; a bunch of my Pony Club friends and I went to see it in Winnipeg and we laughed our asses off through the whole thing.

Ok well then I guess we can give all the eventers a nice 2 weeks off I think it works better like this, instead of cramming them together

Yay! Thanks I know all the different fees can be a bit confusing lol, but that's how it is in RL (except like, twice the price lol), just trying to keep it realistic
