Hi everybody,
I'm Lin, 28 from Sweden. I have been playing Sim games for about a year so I am fairly new to this form of game but so far I am enjoying it so much.
In real life I live with a pet bird, a budgie, named Charlie. He's 7 years old and I love him to bits, he's once cocky but chicken bird. No pun intended. I have nothing to do with horses in real life sadly, but I do love them.
I can't wait to get to know you all, at least to some degree.

Hello Lin! =) I'm Rainbow, one of the admins here. I own Wildwind Equestrian Centre (which focuses on dressage, hunters, and jumpers) and the hunter/jumper association. In real life, I ride dressage on an aging ex-event horse named Xavier -- we do occasionally pretend to be hunters, but dressage is what we both prefer. I live in the US, but will be in the UK for a year starting in late August, about which I am super excited.
What kinds of horses do you plan on having in the game? I can't wait to hear and get to know you and your sim horses. =)

Hi Lin! In BITS I dont have a focus... couldnt decide on one! I own a private farm named Champion's Bid Ranch that has Western horses, Racehorses, Eventers, Dressage horses, and Jumpers. Im also one of the few certified racehorse trainers in BITS In RL I ride Western and follow Racing closely. Big Brown is my favorite colt, I loved him since I watch him win the Florida Derby and Im 100% sure he'll win the Triple Crown this year. I used to have parakeets, but they died. My Smokey was at least 8 years old, she lived a good life. Banjo, the other bird, died really young. We dont know why. The move probably put stress on them. My RL horse contact isnt that much right now. My grandparents are selling the family horses and Im trying to score a spot to work for an FFA award. Other than that... nothing. Welcome to BITS!

Thanks for the welcome guys I don't know quite yet what to focus on, but I tend to be drawn to Arabians in halter and western, so I will most likely turn in that direction, or racing that I have lately been drawn into as well

Arabians are a nice. I tend to not like them personally in RL but they're "elegant" horses in SIM. I currently own two, my dressage mare Annabelle, and my dressage up and coming colt, Dekhreschendo. If you're looking towards Arabians, I suggest talking with Nicole, the BITS Arabian Horse Association owner. Flat racing is really popular. Western is the sub event. Like, you'll find Racing, Dressage, Show Jumping, and Eventing competing for the number one spot. Behind them is the Western events, highlighted mostly on pleasure and cow/ranch activities (such as reining, cutting, roping, ect.) with less on the gymkhana side (barrel racing, pole bending, ect.) We do have real halter shows for stock horses, though that's kinda on the small side and mostly done through the bits stock horse registry... If you have any questions on racing or western in the game, feel free to ask Im most experienced here. Maya runs the BITS Jockey Club and the Eventing association, Rainbow runs the Dressage & Hunter/Jumper-Jumping Association. Gwen has the BITS Stock Breed Registry and Jen/Candj has the BITS Snaffle Bit Association, for an idea of the major associaitons Welcome again

Lol Nicole will be happy that you want Arabs. =) They're gorgeous horses. I love the pictures of them with all their traditional tack -- all the bright colours and tassles and bells and whatnot. So pretty.

First off - yay for Arabs! ^-^ I'm SO glad there's another (sane) soul who likes them. All of the all-sim owners are snotty stuck up people who give Arabians such a bad name =( Anywho I am the Nicole whom they are talking about and welcome to BITS! I'm one of the oldest members (not by age, but time on here haha) that isn't a staffy and would love to help you with any questions. As Rainbow and Shelly mentioned I own the BAHA, which is inactive at the moment as I'm *almost* the only one with Arabs =P I also have Lorey Lane Farms, which has all my Arabs in their entirety. And lastly I have the Rescue too In RL I own a little broken down Quarter Pony named Peanut whom is the most patient little bugger in the world and whom I love to the ends of the earth. She's at my trainers barn, where I ride some of his Arabians, hence my love of them. At the moment I'm working with Deedee in some basic dressage and hunter stuff, and Connie in western pleasure, although I've worked with all of his horses (except Rosie whom is old and retired =P) at one point or another, which includes lounging his National Champion Sporthorse gelding! (sorry, brag moment there.) So yes, that's about all I can say. Welcome again to BITS Lin! edit: shelly doesn't like Arabs in RL? -gasp- I luff them. They ARE to smart for their own good though, but oh so beautiful. The good ones are quite impressive, as Bobby has a national champion and three other mares with aahmazing lines whom are also big sweeties. I think it's the fact that they bond so strongly with one person =/ They can be a bit spastic when their number one person isn't around.

You know what? Im going to create an all sim arabian farm and prove you wrong! lmao j/k nicole. I know what you mean. I think Maya's the only sane all simmer that owns arabs. www.bits.mayakenedy.com/stables.php <- Here you can find all the stables that are part of BITS. I chose Diamond Elite randomly, and dont know much about the other boarders. DEF was reasonable, I remember. I know Gwen's boarding is reasonable (Show Me)... other than that I dont know. As for horses, I know DEF still has some horses for sale under the sales board. Check there or post a wanted ad.

Hi Lin! Welcome to Bits! I am Elise, I've been a member here for a year and a couple months and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have (which is a lot hehe). I own Cornerstone Farms which does boarding if you still need it. It's $150 a month if you do, pm me if you have any questions I ride Dressage, Jumping, and English with Natural Horsemanship as my basis in RL. My first horse was a Polish Arabian gelding, actually I love Arabians, but they have to look a certain way, you know? I'm not one for the too dished face, but it really depends on the horse hehe. One of my best friends, she's from Germany and was an exchange student last year, goes skiing in Sweden on her Christmas Holiday each year. It looks so beautiful there!!

Hey, Lin! Welcome to BITS. I am one of the admins on the board and we are glad to have you :-D
In RL, I am a college student here in the US, but will be going to Britain in the fall to study for a year. I used to own a horse, but I sold her in lieu of going abroad. She resides with my trainer's family, so I see her plenty anyhow :-D In SIM, I own SMHP and we mainly show paints, qh's, tb's, and sporthorses. We do have open boarding, but mainly stick to bringing in stock breeds and sporthorses, as our training focus is there.
Good to hear you are bringing in Arabs! So cool :-D

Ack, sorry I'm so late in welcoming you >.< I'm slow this time of year... I'm Maya, the last admin, and I own Camelot Canada and Pemberley Estates, where we have mainly eventers and Thoroughbred racehorses. In RL, I'm 21, graduating from college in August (FINALLY) and own 4 horses that I pretty much never have time to ride anymore. I'm an independent web designer/developer/programmer and also enjoy photography, reading, writing, and lots of other things I'm sure you'll eventually hear me talk about. >.< I'm completely burnt out and stressed from school right now as this is my third straight semester, so I may not make much sense Anyway, welcome to BITS!
