What a group of talented fillies! All five have reached the gate, and load with
no issues. Afleet looks a bit unsettled, banging around and fighting her starter...
but, they're off! Rumrunna has gone straight to the front and is closely followed
Seattle Symphony, with London Bridge, Seemingly Swimmingly, and Afleet making up
the rest of the field. Rumrunna and Seattle Symphony have opened up a 2 length
lead and are really duking it out heading into the turn! Blazing fractions!
London Bridge is inching her way up, slowly closing the gap, and Seemingly
Swimmingly is making her move! Afleet is being asked for more, but doesn't
seem to have it today! Seattle Symphony is fading fast -- London Bridge has
passed her, with Seemingly Swimming hot on her tail. Rumrunna is still hanging on
to the lead... but she's stumbled and lost her momentum!! They're coming out of
the turn, and London Bridge has taken the lead! But Seemingly Swimmingly is right
at her flank, moving up fast! Afleet has passed Seattle Symphony and Rumrunna, who
are both struggling. 2 furlongs left to go and London Bridge and Seemingly
Swimmingly are neck and neck! They're pulling away from Afleet, who's gamely
trying to hold on! And Seemingly Swimmingly has taken the lead! She's a head in
front! London Bridge is fighting back, but she can't take back the lead! They're
at the wire, and it's Seemingly Swimmingly a neck in front, with London Bridge
second, Afleet 2 lengths behin her, and it's a photo finish for fourth and fifth
between Seattle Symphony and Rumrunna!

Seemingly Dreamingly's long winning streak finally ended - she just stumbled out of the gate and never caught back up. We're still proud of her, and hopefully her next race is better! General Trial, on the other hand, quite pleasantly surprised us with his win! =)
