Basically, I don't know how to get started. I have the index folder thingy...but i'm not sure if i have to create a seperate 'home' folder or what.....I'm really confused.....
How did you guys get started?

I don't think you do... you just put all your files in the 'yourdomain.awardspace.com' folder and you're good to go. If you give me your login/password I can look and tell you for sure, but I don't have an account on there, so I can't login to check

OK So here's what I do. First, log in (no duh, right?) Second, go to 'SUBDOMAIN MANAGER' and type in what you'd like in that subdomain box. IE. if you put in championsbidranch you'll get championsbirdranch.awardspace.com Actually, no, you wont. You'll get an error message if you try that one, because I already have it BUT you get what I am saying, right? Third, go to FILE MANAGER. In there there will be a folder labeled subdomain.awardspace.com. So, in my example, my particular folder is labeled championsbidranch.awardspace.com. Click on this file, and you should be presented with a list of pages. Towards the bottom, you'll come across a spot to upload them, and farther down you'll find a spot to create a new file and a spot to create a new folder. Now, some suggestions. Always use long urls (instead of index.html put championsbidranch.awardspace.com/index.html). Do this and get into the habit of doing it. If you use folders (later on down the road) you won't have to go through everything and update it. Trust me on this one Second, use folders to organize yourself. If you were to look at the CBR folder, you'd see a huge list of horse pages, and I'm not even done. I am going through and fixing this problem, hopefully, with a new website. If you're not smart in PHP, or are trying to learn, for the mean time I'd advice you to arrange your horses into folders. One method I've used is breaking them up by gender; so Stallions go into one folder, Mares into another, Youngstock into a third, and Geldings into a fourth. Age or Gender is the easiest way to break it up. If you use discipline, you might end up changing the location of the page, therefore breaking the URL. So... just a thought. Third, KEEP YOURSELF ORGANIZED! My CBR folder is just a plain huge mess right now, and I just finished building a website and now I am going to tear it down because I didnt keep myself organized. Take it from someone who is sloppy; organization saves you in the long run! If you need further help, feel free to PM me!

Annnd a suggestion of my own;
If you aren't sure on your html abilities (as I am xD), go out there and find a premade template! There are millions upon millions of them out there, so don't worry about finding one that someone else has haha.
Not sure if you've worked with templates before, but in case you haven't, all you have to do is download the template (if it's css), and then upload it as you would any other file. It's a heck of a lot easier than making your own, and (according to me better xD) allows your work time to maybe drop by half (or dramatically at least) so that all you have to do is fill in the blanks :]
So there's my tidbit haha.

Be careful with the templates. There's some that come with strict copyright rules, and others that are so poorly put together that even I couldn't figure out anything. Sometimes there's a lot of crud added into the templates that shouldn't be. If you need help with the actual web construction, don't hesitate to ask!
