Well, let's see, where should I start? My name is Kate, I live in Buffalo New York, and it's freezing cold here, lol. Anywho, I am 19 years old, and am currently in my sophmore year in college.
I go to a place called Morrisville State College. Don't know if any of you know of it, but its a small time college here in NY. Anywho, I'm going there for Equine Racing Management. Its really awesome! We have to be at the barn @ 7 AM and then we clean our assigned horse's stall and then we ride! We ride in the tiny little exercise saddles to! So, I'm probably going to be doing Thoroughbred racing once I actually get going on here.
I think I'm going to love being a part of this, and I hope I can get to know all of you guys!

We've already semi-met but, I'll introduce myself formally; I'm Nicole (duh) and I've been in BITS for over two years, actually the vast majority of the members here have, but I think we're a pretty welcoming bunch I run the BITS Sport Horse Association, which actually has a show right now that's open for entries, so as soon as you get some horses, go sign up I also own the BITS Horse Rescue Center, which has about everything under the rainbow, so if you need some horses, go there lol Lastly, there's my stable, Hayes End Stud, which I'm *trying* to get specialized in Sporthorse Arabians and Welsh Ponies Of course there's a few oddballs, but they're for sale, so you could look at those too =P I also have two stalls open for boarding, if you need a place to stay Welcome again! This really IS a great game, if albeit slow at the moment, but I think it's slowly picking up again, and people like you are helping, thanks again for joining and welcome to BITS!

Welcome to BITS! I'm also new, my name is Sydney. Do you own any horses of your own? Do you think you will do TB racing in BITS?

Thanks Nicole!
Thanks Sydney! No, sadly I don't have any horses of my own in RL...my professor from my program wants me to buy one of the 4 y/o's named Winds Aloft, aka Tim. I love that horse, but I dont think I can afford to keep him after I buy him, especially since he is a TB. Yah! I'm planning on bringing TB's into BITS to race, and maybe do a little bit of jumping, but, mostly racing for sure! Its in my blood now ever since I spent the summer at the track with my professor and two other students...it was amazing experience!

That's so cool. I've been wanting to get a second horse to show but finaces are such that I can't. That's be pretty cool if you could get that TB. I've always wanted to intern with a racing place. Which I might have a chance to do this coming Jan. There's this guy that I called a few weeks ago about helping him start up his breeding business, I think he's planning on doing TBs. He said later on he was going to open it up to lay-up horses and would need help with that. He told me to call in January after the new year to see if there was an opening for me to work there, but he needed to hire some one that had their name known in the industry. Although he said that I sounded like I know what I was doing and that I wanted to get started in the industry. He told me that he was going to need to hire more staff so to call him. So January 5th I will be calling him lol.
Well that's cool that you want to do TB racin gin BITS. I'm thinking of getting a few just to get involved in all that I can, ha.

Lol yah, I love that horse. He was my favorite and then I got assigned to him after we went back in January. I have to admit, he threw me off a couple times, but I always got back on. We decided the only reason that he threw me off was because his back was sore..lol. Anyway, I'm like the only person that likes him, which is why my professor wants me to buy him. He also thinks that this horse really likes me. I can't tell or not with him... He always has his ears pinned, but he started being ok with me..so, I'm not sure. I'd love to have him and give him a good home, but I dont even know if I would buy him. We think he cracked his cannon bone over the summer, but my professor never got x-rays to know for sure. So...I really want to buy him, but I'm just gonna see how things go. I havent seen him since he got turned out to pasture in Sep. so...I gotta go see him when I go back to school..lol, see if he misses me or not..

That would be great if you could get him. My friend owns a TB was never raced, but shown in Jumping(he thought he was a race horse). He hated everyone except his own. Even though he had his ears pinned 95% of the time around anyone he still loved his owner and she was the only one that could do anything with him. He's kind of a spazz. He flips out for no reason. He's gotten better but my friend is trying to find a home for him. She's had him for over 6 years and is just tired of dealing with his hot headedness. And with school and work she just doesn't have to time drive to La Cresta to go see him. But that would be really cool if you could get him. Is he still racing or are they retiring him?

Hey kate instead of bringing in horses (which costs much more money, $10,000 per horse if you import from another game) how about you look around here? There's a buuunch of racers for sale if you look a little bit, and I think it'd be better than bringing in more horses

Sydney - Yah, this horse isnt really all that hot headed, or at least he wasn't. Plus, he used to get spooky alot because I would get nervous on him and make him nervous...so...yah. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about your friend having to sell her horse. I would hate to do that I hope everything works out for her My horse never even got a chance to race because he came up lame at the track over the summer. I think if I bought him I would try and put him back in training to be a racer for a year or two...maybe...and then after that he would probably just be a pleasure horse... Nicole - Thanks! I was planning on pretty much just using my creation cedits and then I was going to adpot/buy some more racers. I dont know exactly how many I want yet, but I have my eye on some of the ones in the Rescue, so you can look forward to hearing from me
