So since I'm new here and still can't decide on what to focus on, I thought it might be best to ask for a little help getting started. ^_^
Seew what's popular around here? I've always been the rare breed/discipline lady, but sometimes it gets frustrating not being able to sell horses and whatever. So how is stock racing around here? Driving? Dressage? Should I go with big warmblood eventers and have a racing string? xD I can't decide!

I think TB racing & eventing are the most popular right now... Followed closely by Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and stock horses (reining/cutting especially). Stock racing doesn't really exist Driving has a bit of a following, though!

Hm. I think for now I'll go with warmblood sporthorses, and maybe throw some driving horses in there as well. I'll pare it down from there. ^_^
Would anyone be opposed to a few stockies in their flat races? Or maybe I can create a few and spread them around so we can have stock races?

Stock horses can't be registered with the Jockey Club, so they wouldn't be able to race in the BJC races... but you're welcome to start up some stock horses races and get other people involved. If there's enough interest and you'd like to start up a serious and active association, you could hold an auction to get a few racers out while earning some money for purses or whatnot.

Yes, I think I'll do that! It's totally more fun than TB racing.

I tried doing quarter horse, paint horse, and appaloosa racing about a year ago, and it never took I retrained my only racehorse for reining and gave up on it. Personally, I probably would dabble into it but right now I'm more into TB racing and reining/cutting, pleasure, and halter horses.

Yay dressage! I'm a bit late to get my vote in, it seems, but that's what I'd have voted for.
I'm very committed to my dressage, I am.

I myself am very into eventing, and then h/j, dressage, and a bit of driving as well. Pretty much sporthorse events.

I do H/J as well in the game... I tried eventing and racing but just don't enjoy them as much because I don't know much of anything about them in real life. I do know a bit about hunters and jumpers though. And most of my ponies drive.
