Hello,
My name is Katie Beth and I am new here to BITS. I look forward to playing BITS and getting to know all of you!
In real life I raise, breed & show pinto Miniature Horses that are AMHA and/or AMHR registered.
Here in BITS - I plan on running a similar program with Miniature Horses, Shetland Ponies (completely different breed that Miniature's) and Miniature Donkeys. I hope to improve the breeds and I may even have a few show mules and standard donkeys for riding. I noticed that there isn't a whole lot of them in BITS so I am hoping to increase their numbers here.
I look forward to playing and thank you for allowing me to come in to your family!

Welcome to BITS, Katie Beth! I'm Shelly, owner of several things... that I sometimes forget to mention. I focus on stock horses, Thoroughbred racehorses and steeplechasers, Irish-type Sporthorses (and some oddballs), and Miniature horses. I own Equus Me, which is broken into four branches for my horses, plus the BITS Steeplechasing Association. I'm working on getting the BITS Pony Registry up soon - so your miniatures and shetlands will have some competition! My goal in life is to own a Miniature horse farm. Windcrest Miniatures is my planned stable, and I've been doing a lot of research as into lines and such I'd love to see some of your Minis!

Oh wow. . .someone who understands "the little ones"!!!
I currently have: 1- AMHR reg. Bay Minimal Tobiano 2005 Model Gelding - 34" 2- AMHR reg. Dun Maximum Overo w/ Two Blue Eyes 2008 Model Gelding - 28" as of now 3- AMHA reg./AMHR pending Solid Cremello 2007 Model Stallion - 33.5" 4- AMHR reg. Non-Fading Black Tovero w/ Two Blue Eyes2008 Model Filly - 30" as of now 5- AMHR reg. Golden Palomino Tovero 2005 Model Mare w/ One Blue Eye - 31.25" **currently in foal for 2010 to Cremello stud**
**possibly adding a junior herd sire - a 2009 Model LWO+ Tovero Colt out of a National Champion to mature 28-29" and is AMHA/AMHR reg. . .Circle S Cadillac Jack is his notorious National Champion sire. I am hoping everything works out!**
As you can see I prefer the AMHR horses that can go up to 38" and have no limit on how small they can be. . .to me with AMHA they can never go over 34" and I see way too many great quality horses be AMHA registered only and then once they go "over" - they are no longer of value unless they can be AMHR hardshipped or are already AMHA & AMHR registered.
I also LOVE blue eyes too. . .they are a focus of mine in my program and I am breeding for horses that not only show off and place in the halter arena but will knock you down with flashy movement as well! We will be getting our first driving cart here shortly and we will begin training our 4 y/o gelding to drive asap.
As far as Shetlands and Donkeys/Mules - I do not own any at this time but I drool from afar!
For you starting out in Miniatures - BUY THE BEST QUALITYthat you can. . .great stock comes from great stock - it doesn't just "pop" when you breed two low quality Miniatures. I enjoy lines such as Mickey Mouse, Buckeroo, Circle S, Egyptian King, Blue Boy, some Dell Tera stock and all LTD's. If I ever got the chance, I would purchase a direct Buckeroo son and daughter - although those go for $20k+ easily so I would need a MAJOR loan.
Anyways, I am rambling. . .if you want to keep talking "minis" - PM me! =)

XD You GOTTA take pictures of your dun I love dun anything (one of my dream horses is a grulla quarter horse riding mare ) I've liked the Buckeroo lines for a while now; they also seem (well me anways) have a lot of color. haha. Have you heard of Fantasy Corrals? They're a farm in Wisconsin somewhere and I *almost* won a filly of theirs in a raffle... until my mom found out. haha.

I love the Buckeroo lines - I would sell off everthing I own to be able to buy him! He had his 31st birthday this past weekend and still going strong and isnt 'showing his age'.

Hey Katie Beth! Welcome to BITS. I'm Rainbow, one of the admins here. In the game, I own Wildwind Equestrian Centre, proud home of one token Mini who would love to have somewhere to show lol. We mostly focus on dressage, hunters, and showjumping with thoroughbreds, warmbloods, and some ponies.
In real life, I'm mostly a dressage rider who does some jumping on the side. I'm in the process of finalising a half-lease on a 10y/o gray thoroughbred gelding named Chilly. I recently spent 10 months living in the UK and love to read, write, travel, and take photos in addition to riding of course!
I can't wait to see what you bring into the game and to get to know you better.
We'd love to see photos of your minis, too... as you can probably tell, we love photos haha -- we had to create a separate board for photo posts.
