Well, there isn't much to tell, but what the heck, why not!
My name is Gwen Sams. I will be 19 on August 31st and am attending Indiana University in 2006-2007 for Political Science and Philo. I will hopefully minor in gender studies and French! :-D I am pre-law and want to be a GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender) and Constitutional Lawyer. Why GLBT? I don't know, I just feel like people don't give the GBLT sect a good enough chance and I stand for the little man. Even though I am straight, I have always been one for a cause. Oh, and not to upset anyone, I am a GOP member (hence the name) and consider myself moderate conservative in view.
I own two horses currently, but one is hopefully going to be sold.
Cash is my baby! She is a 1991 APHA mare, registered breeding stock, but really is minimal sabino on her belly, and a great all-arounder.
Here are some pics:
I've had her for about 7 years now and ridden her for 9. I've also shown for 9 years in just about everything. However, lately I have been delving into halter. When Cash was uber-fitted (like last year in those pics) she won a lot regionally and was very well regarded. She's not a strict halter horse, but she does just fine. Her baby, however, my boy Panama, is amazing. He's huge and just beautiful. His sire is so short, we hoped that he would, but his cannons show otherwise. He is bigger than some yearlings right now. He's a Tobi, but becoming liver chestnut, I think. Here are some pics from a while back:
He's for sale, BTW, if you like! ;-)
Okay, more about me, I guess. I am a singing addict. I have one of the state's best ranges, or so have said choral judges, and have been a state finalist with my choir for the past two years. I LOVED being a LP Choral finalist at state! I have sang at Carnagie Hall and it was the biggest rush - that at speaking in front of 500 ppl at Girls State, I suppose.
I love public speaking! I could do it all day! I love debating even though I wasn't allowed to compete in it in High School due to my tight academic schedule. I was an honor student and graduated with honors, so I am a bit of an overachiever.
Also, as far as entertainment goes, I love ALL British Music played on Virgin Radio UK. You can hear me listening to Keane, The Feeling, Cold Play, Snow Patrol, and more. If it is played over there, I hear it! Also, I love Monty Python. For TV, I love Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Footballer's Wives, Project Runway, and Dallas. Yeah, DALLAS. I LOVE Dallas. Half of you are prolly to young to know what it is, but because of SoapNet, I can WATCH it!
Other than that, in BITS, I will be focusing a lot on halter horses and a select few AMAZING performance horses Paints are the breed of choice, with QH and TB lines thrown in! I also am the President of the BITS Stock Breed Registry.
I apologize. That was rather long!
