Well, my name is Shauni, and in real life I own 7 horses - Porscha, Storm, Gypsy, Icy, Toby, Sunny and Star. I ride English, but would love to try Western. I live in Norfolk, England which is cold, wet, rainy and did i mention cold? As for simming - I joined HorseLand recently - but it has just gotten rather boring - so I'm looking for something new. I plan on breeding arabs/tbs - but I'm the sort of person who can change their mind. Well, uh yeah... hello!

Hello again! Welcome to BITS, Shauni... I'm Maya, you can find out more about me in my intro post near the bottom of the board. If you get into TBs, make sure to have at least a few who race So I'm not at the racemeets all by myself hehe. And you haven't experienced cold until you've been through -40* Celsius winters in Canada. We have cold weather alerts where we're cautioned not to go outside, because exposed flesh will freeze / frostbite within 20 seconds. Yeah. It's fun. And the summers are just as bad. Last week, it got up to +40*C. Too damn hot to do anything. Anyway, welcome to BITS! =)

Hi! Welcome to BITS! I just had a heat wave last week, where temperatures were 100 degrees plus. I didn't even go to the beach.

England :-D Yeah, I love England. I want to live in England and I am DEAD serious. Welcome, though, Shauni. My name is Gwen and I am part of the admin team as well. You can find some stuff about me and my horses near the bottom of the board, too! I am glad that you came to us. I've tried horseland but it just isn't for me either. Oh well, their loss our gain! We're glad to have you. Arabs and TBS are beautiful breeds, too

Hey Shauni! Welcome to BITS. I'm Rainbow, the final member of the admin team lol. Thoroughbreds are awesome, I actually lease one in real life lol. I'm with Gwen - I love England, and I wish I lived there lol. Stupid midwest US is either freezing (not *quite* as cold as Canada lol, but we see our share of cold) or disgustingly hot and humid. Not to mention flat, and cornfields are considered "scenic" lol... But, I digress. You can read more about me as well in my intro post somewhere towards the bottom of the board.

I'm with you Rainbow. The midwest really sucks sometimes :-P I hate looking at cornfields all day! My horse used to be surrounded by them. They only time they are good is when they are harvested and you can ride in them. THAT is some serious fun!

Meh, the midwest sucks pretty much *all* the time lol. I was born in Pennsylvania, so I'm a mountain girl at heart, I guess... =P What's worse than cornfields lol, is soybean fields...

Unfortunately not an experience I've had lol... I just need mountains, I think. Or at least real hills.

I have to say, I'm pretty lucky. There is a horse farm on practically every street in my town.

Geez, Casey, that's so cool. Here, its mostly just a hillbilly apartment complex on every street or crack house! I am going to a place with hills, though! :-D

lol even living in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by forest and horse farms gets kind of old sometimes... I'm miles away from anywhere, and even horse shows usually involve a 2+ hour drive to get there. lol. But, I definitely wouldn't want to go back to the city. Toronto's fun, but not to live in for extended periods of time =/ And I really do love the forests around here... great for conditioning.

I love that the farm I am on has such pretty surroundings. We *Do* have hills, a pond, and woods, so that is an improvement over endless corn fields, I guess. Do they have fields like that in England? I'm an idiot and I never know anything but totally wierd things, so please excuse!
