[glow=yellow,2,300] ;)Hey, my name is Amy. I've just joined BITS!!! I'm soon to be 16 years old and I live in a tiny town in WI. I own 5 horses in RL. One is mine(Ben), whom I ride in pleasure shows under western. He's going to be 8 this year (gasp!) time does fly....well, I also ride my dad's horse(Doc) in pleasure shows under western (soon to do english too!) he's 12 years old. Then, I ride my mom's horse(Shyanne) in speed shows, she's 11 years old. Then, finally my sister's two horses I just take care of, and they're a filly(Cue) who's going to be 4, and a speed gelding(Hank) who's 11 also! So, yeah there's our herd. They are all paints, but in the past we've owned 3 arabians, but they sadly died of old age and/or were sold. A little more about me....I'm training my horse to be a great western show horse, and I've finally decided that now's the time I need to start taking lessons, because I've taught him all I can for now. I used to show speed all the time, and did really well in barrels, poles, and plug. Flags weren't the best event, but I did OK in that. I've been riding basically since I could walk, I rode double with my parents until kindergarden, then I got a pony and rode him all the time. After the pony, I got a horse, which I decided to sell, to get the one I have now. My current horse and I are like PB and Jelly, I trust him with my life and he the same with me. It's so nice to have "the connection". As far as my future goes, I'm eventually going to own my own horse farm. I want to raise and show QH's and Paints, but also have a Quarab on the property for a little spunk. I hope someday that I marry a cowboy and we can together work the ranch. As for now, I'm planning on going to college and be either a horse farm manager or an Equine Vet. (Haven't quite decided yet) Other than that, I'm just your basic country girl. I love horses, riding, country music and having fun with friends! So, yup that's about it! ;D~Amy~ ;D[/glow]

Welcome to BITS, Amy! I'm Dana, owner of Horizon Equestrian Center In BITS, I specialize in eventing and steeplechasing. In RL, I'm an eventer to the core I own a thoroughbred cross whom I've had for two years. We've got a pretty big stock horse circuit here in BITS (though I'm not a part of it, many other members are), so you'll be in good company! Have you decided on any horses you might be bringing into the game? Again, welcome BITS is a ton of fun, you'll see!

Hey Amy! I'm Rainbow, one of the admins here in the game. =) Welcome to BITS! Like Dana said, you'll be in good company showing the stock circuit here in BITS. Anyways, in RL, I ride dressage. Right now, I don't own a horse (I will eventually!), but I'm lucky enough to be able to half-lease an Appendix QH gelding, Murray, who used to do third level before being retired from showing. He's 17 years old now, and an absolute sweetheart (but a bit of a chicken). Anyways, that's enough about me for now. I hope you enjoy BITS! I can't wait to get to know you and your horses (RL & sim).

Hey, Amy! Welcome to BITS. I am one of the admins here and in the game, I own a barn called Show Me Halter and Performance horses. We specialize in stock horses and mainly breed paints. If you are looking for a place to board stock horses, you are welcome to check out our page at www.missrightwing.com/showme/ . I also own the BITS breeders Trust and Stock Breed Registry. In RL, I am a Freshman at IU Bloomington and am from a small town in northern Indiana. I also own two paint horses - a Palomino mare that I show in halter and all-around and a Sorrel Tobiano yearling colt who is just getting started. You can see some pics of my horses in the discussion. I have a post about riding my mare bridleless. Do you have any pics of your horses? If so, I am sure we LOVE to see them! Anyhow, welcome to BITS and I hope you have a great time!

Hey Amy! I own QH's and I love 'em too! Me and you sound a lot alike and I hope we can get to know each other better! I am much like you as I am engaged to a guy whose aunt is a professional cutting and reining trainer, owner, and competitor. So hopefully, if all goes to plan - we will be getting married in 2011-2012. I would also love to see some pictures of your horses! ;D

Hey Amy! I'm Nicole, and one of the members here. I own Maple Ridge Stables (MRS, lol) and focus on eventing thoroughbreds/american warmbloods, and thoroughbred racers. In RL, I own a Grade QH mare named Peanut. She doesn't exactly have a particular dicipline yet, but I think she could be a good jumper. I'm glad we have another new person!! Welcome!!!! ;D

Hey Amy! Welcome to BITS!!! I'm Elise, and I own Cornerstone Farms. Your horses sound really cute, do you have any pictures? In real life I ride dressage and baisically everything English with Atlas, my Latvian Warmblood. I totally know what you mean about the connection, Atlas and I share the same thing=D I love when people can be that way with their horses. And the time thing... Atlas is going to be 10 this spring. I got him when he was 7.... wow. That seems like forever!
Anyways, welcome to BITS! You'll love it here (or so we hope). It becomes addicting!!

[glow=yellow,2,300]Ok, sorry that I've taken such a very very very very very long time to reply back. I've had a hecktic two weeks, my mom is going on a trip down to Alabama, and I've been spending this time helping her prepare and pack and get her horse ready, etc... not to mention school hasn't been very nice to me either! Well anyways, yes I do have pics of my horses. Here's my farm's link if I haven't given it already ( www.geocities.com/gurluvstrucks15/home.html) Erm, I haven't decided quite yet exactly what I'm going to bring into the game. I think I'll bring in paints/Qh's, but I do eventually want to have some Oldenburgs in, but we'll have to see... It's very nice to meet all of you, and I hope I get to know each of you more! Everyone seems very nice and easy to get along with. Thanks again for the warm welcome! ~Amy~[/glow]

Sorry for such a belated welcome, but you'll have to excuse me, as I've just returned from hiatus. Anywho, I'm Christie, one of the eventing fanatics here in BITS, with my herd of Irish Sport Horses and Thoroughbreds at Simple Charms. I'll leave this short & sweet, but a huge welcome to BITS!

Alright, I've decided to bring in paints and Qh's! ;D Later on though I'll bring in the Oldenburgs, but only a few of them. Gwen- I show him in showmanship, western pleasure and horsemanship as of right now. I haven't learned how to ride english yet sadly, but he does very well in western and probably wouldn't be half-bad in english. Doc however does both western and english. I've only taken 1 english lesson, and I loved it, but I haven't enough money to continue the lessons. I've also taken 1 jumping lesson for free on a friend's horse too, and liked that very much!!! Hopefully someday I can show english too. Christie- Thanks for the welcome, better late than never I always say!

Well, I am sure you will do very well with him if you ever do hunters or anything on him. He looks like he could have the stride for it. I love riding English - perhaps even more than western, so when you get the chance, I am sure you will enjoy it, too I am excited that you are bringing in more stock horses! YAY!
