Hey guys I'm back to BITS! I think I will have more time for it now and I definately want to make time for it. (Ugh for school and being busy in the summer!) Anywho, for those who don't know me, I'm Allie. I'll be specializing most likely in the stock breeds, as they are what I know best. In real life I have 2 horses (yes those who already know me...I got another horse just this summer in addition to Lady)...a POA named Lady and a Paint mare who I call Ghost. Lady is my retired show mare who basically right now is used for trail riding by friends and my mom and for the occassional lesson. Ghost is my new show mare--that I will show on the APHA and PtHA circuits. Anywho that's about it! I'm glad to be back and can't wait to get restarted. ;D

Welcome back. I will re-introduce myself again, I am Jen and I own Diamond Elite Farms. I too focus on stockbreeds here in BITS. In RL I own two apps, one retired show mare and one 3 y/o gelding that I am breaking into the show scene. I have always owned apps and don't think I will ever switch breeds. In BITS I also own the BITS Snaffle Bit Association and ShowStoppin Equine Supply. I am super excited to meet your horses, nice to meet you and once again welcome to BITS!

I'm not sure if we've met before, sorry, I have crappy memory Anyways, I'm Christie, general eventing freak, and owner of Simple Charms Equestrian Center along with other establishments, including the BITS Colored Horse Association. So if you bring any Paints or Appys in, make sure to get them registered! Welcome back!

Hey, welcome back Allie! I'll re-introduce myself as well, as I've probably shifted a bit from when you were here last I'm obviously Nicole, and I now own Lorey Lane Farms, which specializes in TB flat racers and Arabians, plus a few event horses and a couple of oddballs as well In RL, I own a Quarter Pony mare, and I'm riding for a guy named Bobby Twigg, and when I get good enough, I'll eventually be his youth rider for his Arabians So I'm phsyced (sp) about that! Welcome back Allie!

This is going to be random, so watch out I just noticed on the activity check that you have an OSU email address ;D I have a good friend who's on the equestrian team up there, and I'm down at Texas A&M myself. Told you it was random haha.

I have a lot of friends at Texas A&M. I'm from Dallas...I see that your from Texas as well. Yeah I hear the OSU and A&M are pretty competitive against each other equestrian team wise. I know a few equestrian team girls myself...since I am an Equine Science Major

Haha, yup, my friend definatly has a bone to pick with the A&M equestrian team; it sounds like things get pretty catty between them at shows and such. I'm located just about an hour north of Dallas, near Denton ;D Small world hehe.

I don't think I've met you, but I'm Elise, and I own Cornerstone Farms. We do a little bit of everything, from Eventing and flat racing to western pleasure and halter=} I have 3 horses in RL, two Belgian drafts, Lady and Lance and my Latvian Warmblood gelding, Atlas. I show Dressage, Jumping and 4-H. Hope to see you around soon, and I apologize I'm so late responding=}

Nice to meet you Elise! I own a Lady too...she's my now retired show pony who I can just jump on bareback or put a friend on who doesn't know how to ride and I will trust her 100% with them HA! You obviously like the HUGEE horses...one of my really good friends would be very jealous that you have 2 Belgian drafts

Hehe, they're our "work" horses that don't know the meaning of work lol. We do love the big guys for their sweet, docile temperments, but my first horse was just the opposite... a 14.3hh Polish Arabian. And he was the top dog in the pasture no doubt about that haha. I would ride a smaller horse, but I'm 5'10" and have a "long waist" so little horses don't fit me visually lol. We couldn't figure it out at first when we were looking for horses, I would ride this 16.3/17 hand horse and I would still look tall! A clinician told us though "oh you're long waisted!" and then it clicked. Just in case you wanted to know that haha=}

Haha, that's awesome! A major farm, or...? I was just thinking of Fossil Gate Farm, it's a pretty large Paint farm not too far away from me There are definatly plenty of small horse operations up here though, especially the farther north you go -- it just gets more and more into the 'country' haha.

I actually know the people who run Fossil Gate---In an old SIM club I used their name (with permission of course). My mom went to HS with the lady who owns it. I've been out there on numerous occassions. No, my mare didn't come from there or a big farm. She was kind of like a diamond in the rough---a 2x world champ and a top ten finish in the western pleasure owned by a family who probably knew enough about horses to go pro in the horse industry, but they weren't.

Huh, that's interesting. Well, like I said, there's a ton of smaller farms around here (my family's being one of them haha!), I just figured I'd throw the big-name Paint farm out there That's awesome that y'all know the owners -- I've never been, only driven by on the highway, but it looks absolutely huge!

Ah its very very nice...they have a lot of money (her dad is in oil and gas...so really...horses are just on the side and for fun, and she happens to be doing very well with her horses without her dad's extra help) She used to be where Texas Motor Speedway is now---but the government took her land to build a parking lot for racedays. Ugh. I trained under a lady in Argyle when I was showing Palominos. However, I prefer to be on my own so after I got out of Palominos...I'm no longer training under her or anyone else for that matter
