Well, I've finally mustered up the courage to e-mail someone about their horses' pictures, and I'm using the same format as Gwen mentioned earlier. I only have one problem, are we aloud to use our sim names when e-mailing them? Or should we use our real life names?
I don't even mention my name when I e-mail them. I just sign it with a thanks. I think that most people don't care that much, you know? Either they want to let you use the pictures, or they don't.
Yeah, and if you sign it with "Nicole" (which I'm assuming is not your real name... like Rainbow is not my real name) - they're really not going to know that's not your real name. I have actually always signed my emails asking for pics (there have not been too many, as I have so much trouble finding the perfect pic and find the image in my head to be much better anyways lol) as "Rainbow"... But like Casey, I think that the most important thing is to be polite, etc. That's more important to people.

Yeah, being polite is the biggest thing. I am doing the same thing right now because I have 3 new horses to get pics for. I just emailed 3 people 10 minutes ago and 1 already got back to me. I use my regular signature that I use for school and what have you ___ Gwendolyn Sams
But then again, I am an adult and therefore I don't have to worry as much. I think the name matters little though. They probably won't even look at it. They will just say yay or nay.

I tried Gwens format and recently had success with it, but yes being polite is the key. Also I figure if I owned a stud it would be more publicity for my website with the photo credits.
They replied today!! Whoooo! The funny thing was, they said "Dear Hossy" (LOL.) I just find it funny that professinal race-horse owners over in Britain called me Hossy. I can just see it....lol. Anyways, I used your format, and so far (1 whole person) it's working great! Thanks Gwen!!
