Hehe So, in the cross-country phase in 3DE, what makes it up? I read somewhere its like jumps, endurance, and steeplechasing... but I dont understand! I thought they basically did jumping outside. Could someone explain this purdy please?

instead of starting a new topic, i thought i'd post here. so. if your horses' discipline is eventing, can your horse compete in show jumping, dressage and cross country individually? x

Cross country is not an individual discipline here in the game, but your horse can certainly do dressage and showjumping in addition to horse trials/events. At the higher levels, it's usually recommended that your horse focus on just one discipline, though (i.e. a horse shouldn't be doing Grand Prix dressage and also Advanced/CCI**** eventing -- it's just not realistic). At the lower levels, though, we have plenty of horses who do more than one discipline. Hopefully that answers your question?

My Annabelle does all three... lol. She's PE in Eventing, though, so not that high. I think I'll keep her there...
Ok I do have a question. When would you decide on moving an eventer up a rank? About what age would you think a horse would be ready for the CIC competitions?
